Exec and Founding
LOST began in 2019 when Montse Garza brought the idea for a contemporary theatre group to James Salamy, Valerie Chen, and others in the KLT tech booth during Twelfth Night. Maya Levy later wrote much of the constitution during IAP 2020 (on a GTL Italy trip!), and James submitted the group-starting form after.
The first recorded LOST meeting was on November 24, 2020, with James, Kiyah Willis, Vanessa Gonzalez, Cici Mao, Montse, Maya, and Valerie present. PJ Hernandez later designed the LOST logo. The early vision was simple: a welcoming, beginner-friendly theatre community centered on learning, accessibility, sustainable workload, and fun.
